Helping Hands is a local food pantry in Kilgore Texas.
We are a faith based non profit 501c3 organization.

Food insecurity is…

  • the family trying to make ends meet while one or both parents are out of work
  • having to make the impossible decision between paying for food, utilities or medicine that someone in your household dearly needs
  • the kids being out for the summer and not being able to eat lunch at school for three months.

Mission

The Mission of Helping Hands is to ultimately eliminate hunger in Kilgore Texas, by distributing nutritous foods to people in need, building strong community partnerships, promoting self-sufficiency, instilling confidence and hope, while engaging the public in the fight to end hunger.

Families per month (on average)

Helping Hands of Kilgore serves the Kilgore ISD community. They provide food and other services for an average of 300 families a month, totaling almost 3,600 families a year.
